Challenges of-course exist in the Technology industry, and Paytm is no exemption to it. To face the challenges being faced against its rival Whatsapp, Paytm has launched its own version of a chat feature on the app. This is done through launching of an Inbox facility which is a messaging platform with in-chat payments. What are its special features?
- The messaging service will facilitate the consumers to chat with their friends and relatives and also request for money at the same time.
- Group chats can be initiated between the members, and the platform is encrypted end to end to facilitate private conversations.
- Also, sending photos, videos, sharing of live location and capturing and sharing of moments are made possible with the help of an inbuilt camera.
- Messages also can be recalled, with the usage of DELETE FOR ALL.
Paytm inbox will be live on android, which will be made available to iOS users sooner or later. This will help over 230 million Paytm users across, who are using Paytm for making online recharge, utility payments, travelling and for ticketing services.
This is the second company, next to The Kavin Bharti Mittal led Chat App Hike, funded by Softbank. These two companies are expected to be used by Softbank as competitors to fact Whatsapp, which is planning to use payment on its platform.
Whatsapp which is owned by social media giant Facebook, and has over 200 million active users, is now ready to go ahead with launch of an ecosystem through which users can make use of several services and pay through wallets. Possible services to come up would be Online marketplaces, Paying Utility bills, Buying different financial services, which ofcourse would become a whole service based ecosystem.
